Algae is a trending food for 2016 not only for its heart healthy benefits but because it is sustainable and environmentally friendly as well. Adding a couple of scoops of spirulina powder to your favorite breakfast smoothie or after workout smoothie can keep your heart happy and keep your food trendy and fresh. Ingredients

1 cup coconut water
1/2 teaspoon spirulina powder
2 small bananas
1 scoop hemp protein powder, unflavored
1 teaspoon bee pollen
Coconut nectar, as needed to sweeten

Preparation

Just blend the ingredients until you have a smooth consistency and enjoy!
