Meatloaf Sandwiches Recipe. Meatloaf sandwiches as thick and hearty as a middle linebacker. But much tastier!
Why Try? A favorite comfort food goes hand-held! For this sandwich use a good prepared meatloaf from your local butcher or freezer section, or use your own family recipe.
Foodie Byte
When making these sandwiches, save time by building all the sandwiches at once in assembly-line fashion; lay out a row of bread tops and second row of bread bottoms, spread with mayo, layer with lettuce, meatloaf, cheese and close with top.
Ingredients
8 (4 ounce each) slices prepared meatloaf, thick sliced, warm
16 slices artisan bread (sourdough, multigrain, or sesame seed bread), thick sliced
1/4 cup mayonnaise
8 romaine lettuce leaves
8 slices aged Cheddar cheese
Preparation
Spread top and bottom slices of bread each with 1/2 tablespoon mayonnaise.
Layer each bottom slice of bread with 1 romaine lettuce leaf, 1 slice of meatloaf, and 1 slice cheese.
Close sandwich with top slice of bread.
