Food Channel Live! on Periscope

This week we introduced a new concept called Live from the Food Channel Culinary Center. As it sounds, it’s a live broadcast, using the Periscope app, and it provides you with a little slice of what we do in The Food Channel kitchens each day.

You’ll find us cooking, tasting, writing, researching, talking trends, visiting restaurants, creating recipes and more.

We divided this into three episodes, so you can watch shorter segments. The first shows Chef Cari testing an affogato, which is a coffee-based Italian dessert with just three simple ingredients. Our host, Joy Robertson, also talks with Locke Hilderbrand, our chief trends expert, about what’s happening in the world of beverages.

The second segment is pure cooking, with Chef James Clary making a Mexican-inspired dish that you’ll want to try for your own family.

And the third? It’s a mystery . . . that is, it talks about the new genre of culinary mysteries! You’ll see part of our collection and hear from our Food Channel editor about why we see these mysteries as something worth following (besides the fact that we love to read . . . and eat . . . and read some more).

Hope you enjoyed the show and will come back for more!
