Ingredients
1 lb. stewing steak
1 red bell pepper
1 white onion
1 whole chili pepper
1 whole garlic clove
1 tsp salt
1 tsp fennel seed
1 tsp cumin
1 tsp allspice
1 tbsp paprika
1 tsp chipotle chili
1 tbsp tomato puree
1/3 can chopped tomatoes
1 can kidney beans
4 squares of plain chocolate
Preparation
Heat beef drippings in a hot pan until dissolved
In small batches, brown the stewing steak
Chop red bell pepper into chunks
Chop onion into chunks
Brown the onions and peppers in a hot pan
Add salt, cumin, allspice, paprika, and chipotle chili to the onion and peppers
Set aside when finished
Place 1 whole chili pepper into the slow cooker
For more heat, you can pierce the chili pepper with a toothpick
Place 1 whole garlic clove into the slow cooker
Add your meat into the slow cooker
Pour in your tomato puree, chopped tomatoes, kidney beans and chocolate
Cook on high for 4 hours or low for 8 hours
